How it started…

A number of years ago, after discovering an old New England recipe for this wonderful and unique hair shampoo, I began making it. My family and I fell in love with it. Friends asked if they could try my homemade bar shampoo so I gave them some and that's how it started.

Our belief

We believe shampoo should be simple, honest and thoroughly uncomplicated. We do not use detergents such as Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) or foaming agents like diethanolamine (DEA), we believe in 100% natural formulations. All JR Liggetts shampoo bars are vegan and made entirely from pure 100% natural oils and contain NO animal products or preservatives. Our shampoo bars will not strip hair of its natural oils, they lather beautifully and rinse well, leaving hair soft, healthy and smelling clean!

Shampoo bars are also good for the environment because they use minimal packaging and are easy to travel with - what could be better?

The story so far...

Since 1985 we have sold hundreds of thousands of bars to people all over the world. We are just as committed to our products now as we've ever been, and to show you how much, in over two decades we haven't changed a thing. We haven't needed to.
